The Practice of Passionate Worship
Whether you are visiting us for the first time or have been active with us for many years, we pray for God's abundant blessings and grace to overflow in your life! At Lindsay United, we strive to provide a blended worship style to meet everyone's preferences. We are conveniently located in the heart of downtown Lindsay OK at the Intersection of 2nd Street and W Chickasaw Street.
Our worship experiences are rooted in the core values of connecting people to God and neighbor while embracing the rich tradition of our United Methodist heritage. Step into our beautiful and inviting sanctuary and marvel at its timeless beauty adorned with a wall of stained glass expressing the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Join us for our worship services each Sunday at 10:55 A.M., where the loving presence of God fills the room and touches the hearts of all who gather into a fellowship of believers, devoting themselves to the apostles teaching and to fellowship, the breaking of bread and to prayer.
We believe passionate worship is an important element of every worship that leads us into fruitful daily living. Worship is an expression of our devotion, our honor and love of God. The term passionate describes our personal desire and ardent spirit that is present with us, providing personal reflection and spiritual growth while singing praises to the wonders of God’ redemptive and restoring love given freely and unconditionally to each of us.
In addition to joining us for worship, we hope that you will come 30 minutes or so earlier and gather together in the “Gathering” Area which is located on the west end of the Narthex (front entrance) for a cup of coffee, perhaps a pastry along with fellowship and conversation with your friends. And from time to time, witness musicians singing or ring one of the hand bells along with the choir.
We offer Sunday School for adults and children at 9:30am using the most current materials written by todays exciting theologians who help us take the scriptures and make them relevant to our daily lives in today’s complex and chaotic world.
For those unable to join us in person, we offer the option of virtual worship as well. Our worship service at 10:45 A.M. on Sundays is live-streamed, allowing you to connect with our church family from the comfort of your own home. You can easily access the live stream by visiting our YouTube channel or tuning in to the Facebook Live Stream. We want to make sure that no matter where you are, you can still experience the uplifting messages and vibrant worship that Lindsay UNITED Methodist church has to offer.
